Sky Texturing

Now that my terrain is taking shape I thought I'd try and find a sky which would fit. Using the same techniques from the space background proved unsuccessful so I checked the net again where I found something called sky texturing and followed this video [LINK]. This allowed me to produce the following using the normal tool to invert the half sphere.

I really don't like this as a way of producing a sky. If this is my only choice I may resort to changing my animation as it feel incredibly untidy and awkward and to me at least, doesn't look that good. Unless there is a better way of achieving this it is unlikely I will use this in my final animation.
