Lathe Tool

I am now testing out the lathe tool, this was the example provided in the lecture and I have decided to recreate it myself. So after drawing out this shape with the line tool I used the lathe modifier and the shape became like an hour glass but by manipulating the alignment to the centre it produced this shape. What is handy about this technique is when I build my basic Tatooine landscape this could be used to produce the huts seen in the films or could even help build engines, I will at some point try the lathe tool out with other line shapes and see what is produced!
